About The Conference

Scope:

For delegates the 2014 conference covered the latest developments in KS3, KS4, KS5, Mathematics and Numeracy teaching including the delivery of new qualifications, Functional Skills, Stem Skills etc., recent changes to Qualification specifications and delivery, and new technological developments.

For sponsors, supporters and exhibitors the conference in 2014 provided organisations with an opportunity to meet the practitioners in Mathematics teaching and provide an efficient, effective and successful marketing opportunity

Structure of Conference:

Plenary session with high profile speakers at start and conclusion of the day, parallel sessions through the day on subjects such as Problem Solving and getting the curriculum right, Key Stage V, Technology and Innovation.

Each presentation given by expert, experienced professionals and there  plenty of chance to participate in Q&A sessions, to talk to speakers and fellow participants and to share experience, know-how and ideas.

The conference in 2014  featured an expert panel in ‘Brains Trust’ session, sure to be a lively and informative session.

Best underground station is Tower Hill

Come out the exit for Fenchurch Street and turn right
Walk about 200m passed the Grange and Novotel hotels on either side of the road
Turn sharp right at the corner of CROSSWALL
The entrance to the Conference Centre is about 20 m on your right, come through the main doors – the conference centre is immediately on your right.

ALTERNATIVELY use Aldgate Station

Come out the station entrance and cross the road.
Turn right and then left along Minories.
After about 250 m turn right into Crosswall.
The entrance to the Conference Centre is about 50yds on your left, come through the main doors – the conference centre is immediately on your right

MathSpeak MathSpeak a series of annual national conferences inaugurated in London in Autumn 2013.

Goal:
To provide a forum for Mathematics teachers to share experience, see best practice and understand the latest developments in the teaching of mathematics primarily to the 14 to 19 cohort .

Audience:
Mathematics teachers working in schools, colleges and similar institutions, those managing them, and those directly supporting them among management in providers, awarding bodies, inspectorates, regulators, publishers, systems suppliers, trainers and recruiters.
